running Nvidia and Intel graphic cards in parallel
Hi everybody,
I'm wondering if it is possible to run both graphic cards in parallel. In
particular I'm imaging using the intel card for graphics
and the Geforce for general parallel computation ( using CUDA or OpenCL ). I
still didn't install the Nvidia drivers using Janitor script,
since I don't wont to break my system on accident, if something goes wrong.
I'm still having my Vaio in standard mode (i.e. running intel and Geforce is
visible in lspci). From my understanding it should be possible
to leave the x-system unchanged and somehow use the Geforce for computation
only.
Does anybody know how that could be accomplished, especially how to install
the drivers without touching the x-system?
And, is this possible or is there something that might prevent that?
regards,
André
