Dear all,

the problem with gobi_loader hanging while trying to upload firmware on 
the Qualcomm WWAN module turned out to be due to a regression introduced 
from kernel 2.6.31 to 2.6.32:

Reverting to kernel 2.6.31.12, under which the necessary 
sony-laptop-zseries-0.9np5 can be built, solved the problem for me.
