Message #01108
NVidia 190 driver and Wine
Hello there,
Perhaps this is not the best place to pose this question, but as the
unique setup on the vaio z seems to cause quite a few problems, I
figured I'd ask here. When using the janitor script to install the
latest stable NVidia 190 driver, the installation works well and 3d
support is available for native linux applications. However, 3d
support does not work in wine. I believe this is because wine uses
the 32-bit libraries and I am using the 64-bit version of ubuntu
karmic. Thus, I assume that installing from the NVidia FTP will allow
me to get the 64-bit libs, but not the 32-bit ones. Can I simply
install the 32 bit NVidia drivers on top of what I have now?
