Hello everybody,

at first my situation: I have a vaio z 41 running ubuntu karmic and
everything is running fluently so far thanks to Raphaels janitor script,
i.e graphics card cold switch works, brightness keys are working, 3g works,
hibernating works, ...

Now, I have to questions.

1.) I would like to install Ubuntu Lucid. What are the experiences so far?
Does everything work flawlessly?
I read some time ago that there are troubles with hibernating/standby. Was
that a singular issue or a general?
Can I use the Janitor script as well to get everything installed? (Raphaels
page states the script is for the developer branch)

2.) I would like to upgrade my bios to the latest version which enables
Intel's VT-x support. Is anybody using that bios and running linux
flawlessly?
I remember some thread about problems with that bios and ubuntu but I
couldn't find it again. Have those problems been resolved?
