Re: Is VPCZ11 hardware RAID incompattinble with ubuntu 10.04 LTS?
Hi,

I once started with Kubuntu 10.4-beta2 and did reinstall the release candidate
to verify a "feature" - for which I needed a tiny workaround:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/564771/
Unfortunately, I cannot retest or even bug fix the installation problem on my
VPCZ11Z9E since it's used "in production". Well, you might take the baton.
The installation procedure couldn't handle my prefered setup (/boot + crypted
LVM2-PV) so I just put the system on /dev/mapper/isw_somekey_Volume01
(it's a poor man's RAID).
I still use grub v1 because it just works. Graphics works fine with
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-195.36.15-pkg2.run (there is a more recent version meanwhile),
but dual-boot still got a somehow ambiguous meaning - my system is Kubuntu only
(as host system).

Andreas Huck
