I finally got around to trying this and I can report that it doesn't work, as
you suspected. The effect is the same as before: I get a few white dots
followed by a lockup and black screen. Thanks for providing this module, at
least it gave another data point..
I am using grub2 and this config: "i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp
i8042.noloop text"
