	You shouldn't need to boot the old kernel first to use the Intel card. 
Just boot with the switch in stamina mode. Also, make sure that any xorg.conf 
file you use for the NVidia card is moved out of the way - you shouldn't need 
an xorg.conf file at all to use the Intel card ( at least this is true with 
karmic, not tried maverick yet.
