Just because the NVidia card is showing does not mean that it's powered up -
the vaios dynamic switching works that way.

Try echoing "speed" to /sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/speed_stamina ( may
be the wrong path - I'm not near my laptop at the mo ) and see if power
consumption goes up.
