Hi!

I'm using rc5 and I can do suspend with no problems. Even the screen
going blank after resume and the brightness adjustment which were
not working in previous releases now work. My only problem while
using intel is no sound.

I did apply the infamous patch to the BIOS so I can do static
switching and only one card is active at any time. I suppose that
may be one reason I can suspend/resume ok and you cannot...

Yes, I think that's probably right. I'm running the 2.6.37-rc kernels
with a normal BIOS and have been unable to suspend for a while now.
I've reported this to the pm-utils maintainer:

I did try the very latest kernel (2.6.37-0.rc5.git2.1.bz638912.fc15) and suspend to RAM works for me :-)) I didn't try suspend to disk yet.

However, I still see both graphic cards with "lspci". Is there no other way other than flashing the BIOS to correct this ? I'm hesitating to do this on a brand new machine, and I don't know whether this will affect Windows 7 (that I honestly don't use too much - only to view BR ;-)

My switch is on "stamina" not "auto", but no light is on

thanks,

Holger
