Re: X11 issues on Vaio VPC-Z13 - Fedora 14/15 kernel and sound issues
Hi,
I'm also running Fedora 14 with the 2.6.37-0.rc3.git3.2.fc15.x86_64 kernel.
Check out this link<http://linux-hybrid-graphics.blogspot.com/2010/07/using-acpicall-module-to-switch-onoff.html>
for
info on disabling the nVidia GPU. Compiling the acpi_call module allows me
to disable the nVidia GPU by "echo "\_SB.PCI0.P0P2.DGPU._OFF" >
/proc/acpi/call". At least I think it is disabled since my power consumption
goes down by 8-10W even though it still appears in lspci.
Best, Magnus
