Hi everyone,

I just want to let you know about my plans for sony-laptop-zseries.
And it is quite short, there are no plans to develop and maintain
this piece further on.

Reasons:
* stamina/speed switching
  - first I have the feeling that in recent kernels the discrete
    graphic card is automatically switched off
    I am running 3.4-rc2 and have a manual switch (speed,stamina, NO auto!)
    and if I boot in stamina I don't see any nvidia card anymore
  - there is bbswitch in the Bumblebee distribution that seems to do
    the same things in a more reasonable and safe way. Although I 
    do not need it (as it seems).

* hardware support (backlight, battery_care)
  that would be the only reason to continue, but since recently the
  sony-laptop kernel developer has included parts of this functionality
  in his dev tree, I am happy with that

Bottom line: There is the current sony-laptop-zseries in the last
version, but I am not sure I will adapt it again in case a change
in kernel forces it.

If someone else want's to take over this from me, fine with me.
