Disk fejl
Hej Sslugger
Jeg har nu haft mine nye (Samsung) diske i brug i 10 dage. Kører fint og rimeligt lydløst. Igår aftes gik maskinen så ned imens jeg forsøgte at få Mythtv til at makke ret. Ved boot skal filsystemet checkes og her starter problemerne:
Både / og /home er fyldt med fejl i tusindvis. Det er begge raid1 devices, men det hjælper jo ikke når det er filsystemet som er i stykker.
Det som undrer mig er at jeg ikke har opdaget det før. Jeg har en del mail kørende og alting har fungeret fint. Alligevel er der så mange fejl at de næppe kan være opstået pga. at cachen ikke nåede at blive flushet. Jeg kører ext3 på begge filsystemer.
Efter at de gamle diske er kommet på plads prøver jeg at finde ud af hvad der er i vejen med de nye diske med korrupteret filsystem.
"/" består af raid1 med begge nye diske. Mange filer mangler nu, også fra /sbin
("/home" ligeledes raid1 og fyldt med fejl)
"/files" ligger på /dev/hda5, kører ext3 og har ingen fejl overhovedet.
"/video" ligger på /dev/hdg5, kører xfs og er fyldt med fejl.
Jeg får nu en mistanke om at den ene disk er i stykker, nemlig /dev/hdc. For at komme tættere på installerer jeg på ny og har nu haft kørt smartctl -a på begge diske. Den ene melder alt vel (hda) imens den anden (hdc) melder nedenstående.
Mit spørgsmål er nu: Har nogen af jer erfaring med hvad fejlen "READ DMA" betyder, og måske endnu bedre hvad jeg gør for at det ikke sker igen ?
Btw - som I kan se har jeg kørt selftest uden problemer.
