The idea is 'not' to create anything new but rather to use the available resources. If you noticed, we don't even have a website. We don't want to waste time to look after anything and as long as there are tons of available resources, we can use that instead of creating new ones. That said, please use your own channel and use the tags such us : "StartUbuntu" and whenever you share on the Social Networks, use #StartUbuntu

This will spread the word much faster and better than having few 'new' channels for this project :)

I want everyone to use his/her own channel and use the tags and HashTags :)

Thank you!

P.S.
If you check my own channel, you will notice I use it to promote for many projects at the same time.

I agree with you to don't waste time to create and manage a website, but i saw that startubuntu has official social media channel on Facebook, google+ and twitter, so why not to create one for YouTube where all the members can promote Ubuntu/Linux or show video tutorial for users in difficulty in moving from xp to linux. I already have an account google, that i've never used with YouTube, so Can i call the channel #StartUbuntu and add this to the official Social media list of the StartUbuntu project?

Thanks for your reply :)

You see, the problem is we are discussing the same old topics over and over again :)

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/startubuntu

I am sure I have covered most of the topics on these blueprints.

The problem is 'not' with creating a channel, the problem is that channel will be run by who? how can use it? and endless unneeded headache.

The current social channels which I have created are more like news channels and to show our activities. Promoting for Linux should be done in real life and different directions. I don't really want to go back and explain all that yet again.

Please understand there is no more channels to be created and named StartUbuntu. The official channels are only 3 and I won't approve any more as of now.

YouTube if to be used should be used by everyone, not only one channel. You can use your own channel to help StartUbuntu and other projects as well, just like what I do with my channel.

I can create 10 new accounts in 10 seconds, that is not a big deal :D
I do have my own domain and email system. Creating a new channel is very easy. Trust me, I thought about it in the past and didn't see any need for that.

Instead of we waste our time to discuss that, I suggest to create something on YouTube and publish that on your own channel and share the link here. This is what I want everyone who is involved in StartUbuntu to do. I hope this is clear enough :)

Thanks!

Thank you!
