[Bug 981521] [NEW] Access to Google Storage does not work

Public bug reported:

I have Google storage for Google Apps and I want to setup sync.
Unfortunately this fails with the following error (where XXXXXXX) is the
name of the bucket:

I tried both "Setup a new remote storage" with a bucket name that does not exist and "Connecting an existing remote storage" which exists. Both methods fail.
