I have also noticed these problems with the program unable to correctly
find the required files, and have found some errors which I am currently
working on resolving

It's promising so far, bit of trimming work to do tho by the looks of
it, will let you all know

Output of my kernelcheck after i click  "Get kernel information" :

Testing your network connection...
Connection found.
Kernel.org server couldn't fulfill request.
Error code: 404

The same behavior in 1.2.5 and also in trunk.
