Public bug reported:

The Intrepid packaging in the PPA at https://launchpad.net/~team-
xbmc/+archive uses Python2.4. Intrepid uses Python2.5, which xbmc should
use. On my system, for instance, XBMC is the only application using
python2.4, pulling a lot of otherwise unnecessary dependencies.
