I'm experiencing this exact same issue with the linaro kernel 3.1.5
(downloaded from http://launchpad.net/linux-
linaro/3.1/3.1-2011.12/+download/linux-linaro-3.1-2011.12-1.tar.bz2) and
the powervr-omap4 v1.7.10.0.1.1.

Bug description:
  today update pulled linux-headers 3.1.0-1400.1~ppa~oneiric.
  It's causing a build failure on  powervr-omap4-dkms:
  Building initial module for 3.1.0-1400-linaro-lt-omap
