[Bug 684633] Re: OMAP4 Panda: xorg screen screwed up by playing video
Closing this bug as the Ubuntu 10.10 / kernel 2.6.35 baseline is no more maintained.
This bug is very likely fixed on Ubuntu 12.04 / kernel 3.4 with the new DRM/KMS/DSS architecture. Unfortunately the problematic video clip is no more available for download.

Title:
OMAP4 Panda: xorg screen screwed up by playing video
Status in OMAP4 Ubuntu Multimedia addons:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Hi,
I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on my Panda board with omap4 addons and all
package updates today.
I downloaded http://ftp.halifax.rwth-
aachen.de/blender/movies/sintel-1280-stereo.mp4 and started playing it
with Totem, the default movie player.
This screws up the xorg display, which flashes and flickers in the
lower part. This stops when you hit the "f" key and move to fullscreen
mode.
I didn't observe this with a movie in 1920x1080 resolution.
I'm running Linux 2.6.35-903-omap4 #17-Ubuntu
Cheers,
Michael.
