    Hey everyone,

Hi Israel and all,

until I have time to figure out what is going on with
network-manager in precise live ISO I rebuilt the Jessie base and ISO.

What is wrong with the network manager? the last time I tested, nothing
was wrong. It is showing now only one icon on the panel which is great.
Is there anything else I'm not aware of?!

I am uploading it currently, and will give an e-mail when things are
linked so you can zsync and test.

    AFAIK things just work.

Sadly, never had the chance to test the Debain spin yet.

I may be wrong, but if everything works, can we just release this
    one as 1.0?

That's against the plan we agreed on. That's different from what me and
you had a voice chat about :(

I think we're still confused. No one should expect 1.0 to be bugs-free,
that's just not possible in any way.
ToriOS 1.0 will definitely have bugs. That is why they call it version
1.0 :)

That said, can we have a meeting and agree on the exact date when 1.0 is
going to be released?!

Also, it is not only about our agreement, it's also about what we have
communicated to our users. We have told them since 2 years that ToriOS
is based on Ubuntu. It's not really nice to release a Debian version as
our first official release.

It will be supported until 2020 or so, and this will give us time to
work out any minimal bugs or issues we find.

We can release the Debian version/spin after a month or so from
releasing the Ubuntu version. This will buy us more time.

Sorry I haven't had time to geek out to the nuances of
NetworkManager, if anyone else has extra time and wants to play
around in the Live ISO to try a bunch of stuff until something just
works, please do!! And let me know which quirk you found, and your
    work around!

Still not sure what are we talking about here?! is it broken on the Live
session only?!

    Thanks!

Thanks a million for everything!

Hi Ali and Israel,

The network, even the wired network fails for me in the live session of the Ubuntu [based] version of ToriOS. I think it is a fatal bug, and we should not release it until that bug is fixed.

There is no such bad bug in the Debian version, so if you are in a hurry, I would recommend releasing the Debian version before the Ubuntu version.

Best regards
Nio
