Hi Israel,
I'm not sure what package 'revision 267' refers to...but I updated, reloaded, rebooted, but there's no change to the 'Apps' and 'Places' missing items in the installed system.

      revision 267

      should fix this.

      to test it run:

      firstrun

      and the menus should *just work*
