Hi Jack, maybe there is a typo,
This can be fixed post release.

There is no simple way (yet) to create desktop shortcuts... I will whip 
something up though...
Currently
cp /usr/share/applications/whatever.desktop ~/Desktop
is the only way.

Then xedit ~/Desktop/whatever.desktop to modify it.
I have a binary fltk program to do this, but I have been focusing on 
other things.
I will look at the calendar and why the cursor program doesn't open...
