[Torios-dev] ToriOS-Debian-testing.iso
Hi Israel,
Yes I am using your recent ToriOS-Debian-testing.iso installed in VB.
Attached is my current .jwmrc file (before overwriting from /etc/skel/...) which I did but seems to have no effect on getting any desktop shortcuts displayed on the desktop.
Cheers,
JackT.

Hi Jack
[ continuing top posting ]
This indicates that pcmanfm is NOT running to control the desktop.
So.
cp /etc/skel/.jwmrc ~/
should fix it.
Before you do it can you send me your old ~/.jwmrc file? This may be something I need to look into more to see what is going on... it could be the reconfigure script.
IS this the ISO named:
ToriOS-Debian-testing.iso
from phillw server? (Just double checking)

1) The .desktop file is in my /home/jack/Desktop folder but does not show up on my visible desktop.
2) I also have ticked/checked 'show trash can' and 'show connected volumes' and 'show Documents folder' from Desktop Preferences -> Desktop Icons, but none of those appear visible on my desktop either.

Hi Israel,
That's good news for you, but not much help for me and any other average user who cannot do that at the moment. [:(]

Hi Jack,
I have tested creating a desktop shortcut and did it successfully on my VM.
This was after installing to disk from a previous OBI and upgrading.
It persisted on logout/login

Hi Israel,
I cannot for the life of me create a desktop shortcut and have it show up. I've tried several times now. I think me and desktop shortcuts are jinxed.
Cheers,
JackT.

This is more probably aiming at ToriOS 2.0, as jwm-settings-manager is
different... though if Ali approves this can be for 1.1 as well.

Ahh... thanks for finding this... I modified ISOmaker scripts to prevent
this in the future. I did not have syslinux-utils installed

Yes.. and in KVM where I tried it.

Hmmm... not sure. If you tested it in VBox this is something that has
happened before. In my KVM machine it sees my wireless as a wired
connection.
If it is on real hardware, then this could be a bug

Thanks! I hope this OBI version works well with your earlier issue with
the location of a tarball in the persistant mkusb version
