Re: The old desktop issue Jack has had

Hi Israel,

I forgot to mention (the jwm-menu upgrade failure distracted me) , but I noticed you have now fixed the adding extra unnecessary <StartupCommand> lines into .jwmrc.

Cheers,

Jack

Hi Israel,

Those extra '<StartupCommand>' lines appear added in .jwmrc every time I used Desktop Settings -> Icons on Desktop click off, click on, to get the desktop shortcuts to reappear before a test.

I tried your edit again but still no luck.

Jack

Hi Jack
Well, give this one a try...

    <StartupCommand>nice-start</StartupCommand>
    <StartupCommand>pcmanfm --desktop</StartupCommand>

    <StartupCommand>$HOME/.config/jsm-mouse</StartupCommand>

See if this fixes it.

Hi Israel,

Edit done to .jwmrc file as suggested.

Still desktop shortcuts disappear after logout/reboot though.

    <StartupCommand>$HOME/.config/jsm-mouse</StartupCommand>
    <StartupCommand>pcmanfm --desktop</StartupCommand>

This is what you sent me.

I wonder how this happened?

I suggest you change yours to look like:
    <StartupCommand>pcmanfm --desktop</StartupCommand>

    <StartupCommand>nice-start</StartupCommand>
    <StartupCommand>$HOME/.config/jsm-mouse</StartupCommand>

Now, we just need to figure out how it happened?!?
