Hi,

The #torios channel is on the irc.freenode.net server. If unfamiliar with IRC I suggest
you install xchat (the simple one, not xchat-gnome), and have a look on the web at how to
set it up. Many places offer tutorials with screenshots.

Once done you  can improve the setup by choosing colors fonts and behavior in the
preferences menu of the program.
