Hi,
FLTK has a built in file selector and uses gettext()
So if you want to go that route you can :)
I have not tried it with other languages than english, though, so I
cannot vouch for its ability to work well.

You can test it out (I use the file selector in my program for getting
icons, etc...)
But be aware there are still some things to iron out.  If you use it
outside of JWM it wont matter, and wont effect anything.
