Hi all,
Yes, this is a good addition!
I think we should also indicate that we are working to replace XP
computers, so people know that this is the general type of hardware we
are targeting. Indicating that we are basing it off of Ubuntu is a
great idea, since it is the most well known GNU/Linux distro, and
instantly offers support for the 40k some odd packages in repos as well
as the various PPAs and stand-alone debs from places like dropbox,
google, skype, steam, spotify, etc.. etc.. etc..
chrome alone will make this very useful for people who want a
chromebook-esque distro with a very low overhead for the running
system. Even on high-end hardware this could prove to be very exciting
for 'non-bloat' people.
