Re: Live CD cant see my hard disk files

 

Hi George,
Yes this is true.  I will try to narrow down this issue.  Basically
(from what I can tell) nodm (the display manager for the live CD) logs
the user in without running starttorios.  This means not everything is
started correctly.  We had a similar issue using SLiM on the desktop.

The current workaround is to mount the drives manually in a terminal.
for example:

lsblk
# this will show all your devices  pick one to mount and run:
mount /dev/sd?? /media
##substitute ?? for the device you want, like a1  or b1 etc...

# then to unmount run
umount /media

I will try to narrow down if nodm is not running something, or if the
build method (not installing recommends) is responsible...
@Nio do you have any suggestions?
