Hi Ali,

I thought the same when I heard the news about LXQt Lubuntu.  Perfect
for ToriOS to shine, though in order to stay relevant in this area we
must continue to base our system off of Debian, rather than Ubuntu.
Debian is compatible with vastly more systems than Ubuntu is, and
supports the types of processors we are targeting.

There is an on-going discussion on the Debian Derivatives list about
combining efforts, and making official packaging more stream-lined.  It
would be great if all the lightweight Debian based distros could use
common tools, and combine our resources.

Also, Faraco (one of our occasional contributors in many areas) has
discussed reworking our programs to use FLTK only, rather than GTK
(zenity dialogs).  This will take a lot of thought and planning.  We are
also discussing finishing the GTK theme that was started a few years ago
which is in line with the FLTK programs we've created.

I do think now is a great time for contributors to get involved.  We
have a lot of work ahead of us, and the potential for a lot of users who
will benefit from our years of work!
