Message #02786
Why LinkedIn can benefit our project?
Dear all,
I hope this email finds you well.
I'm writing to you today to discuss an issue that has been on my mind for
some time. As volunteers of an Open Source project, we are doing great
work, and I commend each and every one of you for your contributions.
However, I believe that our project can benefit greatly by having a
presence on LinkedIn. As you all know, LinkedIn is a social media platform
that is designed for professionals. It allows individuals and organizations
to connect with one another and share their experiences and expertise.
Here are a few reasons why I believe our project should consider having a
presence on LinkedIn:
1. Networking: By having a LinkedIn page for our project, we can connect
with other professionals in our industry who may be interested in our work.
This can lead to new opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships.
2. Visibility: Having a LinkedIn page will increase our project's
visibility and make it easier for people to find us. This can be especially
helpful for potential contributors who may be searching for Open Source
projects to get involved with.
3. Promotion: LinkedIn offers several tools and features that can help us
promote our project to a wider audience. We can post updates about our
progress, share interesting articles and news related to our work, and
engage with our followers to build a community around our project.
4. Credibility: A LinkedIn page can help establish our project's
credibility and legitimacy. By having a professional presence on this
platform, we can show that we take our work seriously and are committed to
making a difference in our industry.
I understand that some of you may be hesitant to use social media, but I
believe that LinkedIn is a valuable tool that can help us achieve our
goals. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to
reach out to me.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Best regards,
AJ
