after resume screen back light is off

Actually the screen back light control is at the maximum, but the light
is off.

Actually the light seems to be either on or off, but no other variation.

If I attempt to increase or decrease the luminosity, I get:
min : 0%
+ : 100%
++ : 100%
+++ : 100%
++++: 100%
+++++: 100%
max: 0%
