[Bug 1348883] [NEW] Password field on login does not respond to keyboard

*** This bug is a security vulnerability ***

Public security bug reported:

After closing my laptop and reopening it again, Ubuntu asks for my
password. The input field is selected, but when I type nothing happens.
Clicking around and back on the input also has no effect.

I could solve it so far in 2 ways; restart, and select 'switch user'.

On the second approach I found that the text I had entered now appeared in the text editor that was open, when I closed the laptop.
Further info: this was an online text editor ( Just checked, also occurs when closing with this specific inout field (in which I'm currently entering this text) selected).
Problem doesn't occur in Sublime Text, haven't checked other text editors.

Reason I select this as a safety threat; I am inputting my Password
unknowingly on an online form...

** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Information type changed from Private Security to Public Security
