[Bug 1354733] [NEW] USB Modem permanently disconnets if there isn't constant network traffic

HOW TO REPRODUCE
****************

1. Connect the USB modem.
2. Using the Network Manager, configure the mobile broadband network to connect automatically as soon as it's available.
2. Use the Internet for a while.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
******************

- The Internet to stay connected.
- If the Internet loses signal for a while, to automatically reconnect as specified in Network Manager.

REAL BEHAVIOUR
**************

- Except if you are pinging a site each 5 second, the connection finishes going down forever.
- The mobile network no longer appears in the Network Manager till you reconnect the modem.

WORK-AROUND
***********

- In the "Terminal" application, to enter "ping google.com -i 5" and
leave it open.

RELEVANT DETAILS

- The work-around has been borrowed from the "D-Link DWR-921" router,
which has this option included in its interface to keep the connection
alive.
