[Bug 1267233] Re: media scanner doesn't scan mounted folders

 

Marking this as "won't fix". There is no way for the user to create bind
mounts, and it is highly problematic trying to watch bind mounts with
inotify. Fixing this would be far more work than it is worth for an
extremely unlikely use case.

Bug description:
  i used "sudo mount --bind /userdata/media/0 ~/android" to mount my data so that the media scanner/file manager could see them. file manager is ok but media scanner doesn't find anything. i asked it as a question first but didn't get much of an answer (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scope-mediascanner/+question/241719)
  running trusty r108 on nexus 4
