[Bug 1267233] Re: media scanner doesn't scan mounted folders

 

i've actually uninstalled ubuntu from my nexus 4. i wanted to listen to
the music i already had on my device instead of copying it again just so
ubuntu could see it. you are correct, its only application is in dual
booting android with ubuntu which i guess is not going to last (or its
already gone, i haven't really followed the updates)

Status in unity-scope-mediascanner package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  i used "sudo mount --bind /userdata/media/0 ~/android" to mount my data so that the media scanner/file manager could see them. file manager is ok but media scanner doesn't find anything. i asked it as a question first but didn't get much of an answer (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scope-mediascanner/+question/241719)
  running trusty r108 on nexus 4
