0.120ubuntu1 in wily broke vfat from initramfs as it dropped
nls_iso8859-1 and nls_cp437 from the list of modules for 'base' in hook-
functions.

  vfat support broken in initramfs

Bug description:
  when it try to mount the fat32 for the efi it failed with the
  following error : [  117.627721] FAT-fs (sda1): IO charset iso8859-1
  not found

  
  which is due to the missing module : nls_iso8859_1

  workaround is : to apt-get install linux-generic
  than the module is properly loaded.

  here's the error that I've seen in the boot.log : 
   can't create directory '/root/lib/modules': Read-only file system
