Message #23502
[Bug 1377319] [NEW] Memory leak
Public bug reported:
Hi there,
I installed Tracker from Synaptic on Ubuntu 14.04.
I set it to index only two folders full with PDF and DjVu files.
My PC has 4 GB all of which were slowly consumed by Tracker. I looked for offender in htop as my system was crawling.
Restarted several times, until finally Ubuntu reported that Tracker crashed and it has no memory left to complete error report.
Rest is history - I removed Tracker and headed to alternative - Recoll.
** Affects: tracker (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
