Title:
cups 1.7 crashes Brother MFC-9420CN when using Brother PPD
Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Since my upgrade to 13.10 printing from some applications (most
notably firefox) results in the printer crashing (after some seconds
receiving data the printer lcd display show all dots black, and
afterwards the scanning unit makes some (calibration?) noise).
The printer is network connected and is using brscript3 PPD
(attached). When i print to a PDF file and afterwards with okular to
the printer everything is o.k..
Downgrading to cups-1.6 from raring fixed the issue (see below).
Upgrading to saucy's 1.7 reproduces the problem.
