[Bug 1401166] [NEW] Ubuntu 14.04 PPC64LE - LDAP client Segmentation fault
Public bug reported:
I am attempting to enable LDAP authenitcation on Ubuntu PPC64LE (as a client)
I have try on both 14.04 and 14.04.1 with no luck (side note: RHEL 7.1 worked prefectly)
Configured the LDAP client by:
apt-get install ldap-auth-config or dpkg-reconfigure ldap-auth-config
then if I issue a command like: 'id username' or 'su username'
I get a 'Segmentation fault'
It seems that once 'LDAP' settings are applied in nsswitch.conf the 'Segmentation fault' occurs
Can't log into server after that
root@ub14041levm1:/etc# id someuser
Segmentation fault
root@ub14041levm1:/etc# su someuser
Segmentation fault
root@ub14041levm1:/etc# id root
Segmentation fault
root@ub14041levm1:/etc# su root
Segmentation fault
