[Bug 1424327] [NEW] Failed to set file attributes: Inappropriate ioctl for device

Public bug reported:

from syslog, on that vivid i386 booted with system-sysv

the first cold boot always fails: maybe due to an other problem logged while the system is 'normally' shut down via the gnome-shell menu's icon.
( see latest logged error at end of the previous day: Feb 21 19:43 --> Feb 22 06:03)

then the boot process logs:

.....
systemd[1]: Mounted Huge Pages File System.
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.226961] systemd[1]: Started udev Coldplug all Devices.

Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.265656] lp: driver loaded but no devices found
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.267466] systemd[1]: Started Nameserver information manager.
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.306136] ppdev: user-space parallel port driver
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.382151] systemd-journald[220]: Failed to set file attributes: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 8.497074] systemd[1]: Started Journal Service.
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 9.655675] EXT4-fs (sda1): re-mounted. Opts: errors=remount-ro
Feb 22 06:03:33 u32 kernel: [ 9.746757] systemd-journald[220]: Received request to flush runtime journal from PID 1
......

As that system has no parallel port, is that error related to it ? or to
something else ?
