[Bug 1436928] [NEW] Music stops playing when on background
Public bug reported:
Music stops playing when scope is on background. This is really
annoying. There is a lot of potential in scopes, but bugs like this make
it very frustrating. The difference between "play song' and "open music
app" is also confusing and an unrefined experience...
I see scopes as an aggregate of data in apps and websites. When I click
play on a scope, I would expect that the music would start playing in
the actual music app in the background (but still show the play
interface with current position in song etc) in the scope. The same
behavior you have now with the Unity7 music indicator integration.
So this might not be a bug to the music scopes in general but to the
whole implementation of the scope concept. I also filed a similar bug
for unity: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1436927
** Affects: unity-scope-mediascanner (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
