[Bug 1437394] Re: X freezes for unknown reason

P.S. That should read "the seconds on my clock applet don't increment."

Title:
  X freezes for unknown reason

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Every once in a while, X will just completely freeze. It happens at
seemingly random times and is not related to any one thing I'm doing.
I can go to another machine and ssh in and kill X to recover. But X
itself is locked up. The only thing that works is the mouse cursor
which I can move around at will. But the UI doesn't react or change at
all. I can't raise or lower windows, the seconds on my clock applet to
increment, the graphs in applets and in gkrellm are frozen.
