[Bug 1443321] [NEW] Sharing a folder in Kubuntu asks for kpackagekit, which is long not available

Public bug reported:

When attempting to share a folder in Kubuntu Vivid freshly installed,
the system attempts to find executable kpackagekit in order to install
samba, and upon not finding it displays the corresponding error message.

The function to initiate install of missing dependencies directly from
"Share" tab of Folder settings used is working in Kubuntu 14.04.

A further issue is, that, even once I install samba using other means,
the sharing of folders does not work in case I share it only with
specific users (I did not test if it works if I make it public). If I
share a folder and specify that it is shared only for my user, I cannot
access the shared folder from network. To fix this situation I have to
create a samba user corresponding to my user by running in command line

sudo smbpasswd -a username

Then it starts working.

It should be trivial to fix this last issue, and this would mean a huge
usability improvement for Kubuntu.

         Status: New
