I created this bug because of possible misconfiguration of Ubuntu. The
umask should be set in /etc/login.defs and with no other "magic" umasks
for the user. Please transfer this bug report for those who are
resposible of Ubuntu's configuration, thanks.

Title:
  Home directories created with invalid mode

Status in coreutils package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When creating a new directory inside ~/

  Ubuntu 15.04: Mode is 0775.
  Ubuntu 14.10: Mode is 0755.

  UMASK is 022 in both cases so the mode should be 0755.

  This bug is for Ubuntu 15.04.
