Title:
Photos saved from MMS could use better naming convention
Status in messaging-app package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Receive a photo attachment
Select preview and open with gallery
The files are named 1.jpeg, 2.jpeg per their order in the message
Gallery names them 1.1.jpeg etc as they collide with the last save
Camera uses a convention of the form imageYYYYMMDD_timeinmesecs.jpg
Messaging should do the same or similar with a different prefix. (like attachment or messages)
Also, the file extensions are inconsistent jepg vs jpg.
This makes it difficult when retrieving the photos from the camera
