Public bug reported:

In latest Kubuntu (15.04, vivid) the system preference application is repeatingly crashing.
Steps to reproduce: just open it, change a few settings switch to a new pane. Do that as long as required till the crash is happening (takes only very few attempts)

The relevant bug on kde.org is
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344651- which says that this is a
bug in Qt and it is resolved there in 5.4.2 (see
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-43376 ).

=> Please backport the fix or upgrade Qt to 5.4.2
