[Bug 1427795] Re: the lock screen/log out window is stuck rendering desktop unusable

Setting status to confirmed since someone other than the reporter has
encountered the bug.

For reference, what happened to me is that after I unlocked my desktop,
the "You have unsaved files, do you want to lock screen or log out"
window was superimposed on my desktop, darkening windows underneath it
with a gradient. I could interact with other windows, but couldn't
interact with the lock/unlock dialog in any way. I tried using xkill to
kill it, but this just clicked underneath the window and killed either
Nautilus or whatever else gets killed if you select the desktop with
xkill.

Title:
the lock screen/log out window is stuck rendering desktop unusable

Status in Unity:
  Confirmed
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After locking the screen via ctrl-alt-del, upon unlocking it, the "Hi
$user, you have open files that you might want to save before logging
out" is stuck in the middle of the screen. It will not close or allow
typing in any window. The only way out is to kill the X server or
reboot the machine losing all open work.
