There is an enormous amount of threads, many of which are EOL.

My thoughts on this rather large subject are ...

I would think that we need to concentrate on

1 - Current and in use threads

2 - Older threads with useful information - convert the useful 
information to snippets and add to existing wikis.

There are no guidelines that I know of - that's one of the foundation 
stones we need - if anyone has any thoughts now is the time to speak up :)
