Hi Bodhi,
I have tested your script and it looks good to me.
After I pasted the thread in the first text field, and typed a title in 
the second (without spaces?), gedit opened with mytitle.wiki, which 
should be the contents to be pasted in a newly created wiki page.
I will test that later.
