[Bug 1277761] [NEW] Progress animation spins forever on SMS to unknown recipient

 

Public bug reported:

1) compose new message
2) type in a bogus name of someone not in your address book (like "Joexxx" or something)
3) type a message and press send

Result:
the progress stays on "Sending" with animation forever

Expected result:
the progress should change to "failed" with the ability to retry.
