Re: Existing audio test

Hi all,
After conversation with diwic and smagoun I collected the list of audiio
tests that are currently ran. This is edited general list of test that
QA runs. I removed non audio test.
I believe it makes sense to discuss:
1. What is missing
2. What exists already somewhere else
3. What we can automate / integrate in our test suit.
An issue is certainly broader then just Canonical or Ubuntu
Please take a look at the attached list.
Two problem areas we're not currently testing enough:
1) PulseAudio volume/mixer tests. Testing the "volume keys" tests that
to some degree, but we basically need to test the volume for all inputs
and outputs. E g, as a part of an internal mic test, one should also go
to gnome-volume-control, ensure that "Internal Mic" is selected, then
move the volume back and forth and see that the mic volume is adjusted
accordingly.
For output, I've made an "alsamixertest" application which does a pretty
thorough test. Once I fixed PA enough to do the right thing, I might
extend this one to do input testing as well, but it's currently quite
far down on my TODO list.
2) Auto-mute (plug in headphones and internal speaker mutes) makes sense
to test separately. Or at least say that more explicitly in the test suite.
If we support auto-switch between mics, we should test that as well.
